33 Singers Formed A Circle In The Capitol, When They Began Singing I Couldn’t Hold Back The TEARS

When thirty-three adults formed a circle in the State Capitol, I wasn’t sure what to expect. But moments later I was moved to tears. This is breathtaking.

This talented group makes a unique sound by assembling in a circular formation so that they can hear each other perfectly.

And when the Portland State University Chamber Choir visited the Oregon State Capitol, they made sure that their God-given voices were heard.

I couldn’t hold back the tears as they performed a breathtaking rendition of Arnold Seviers’ famous hymn, ‘Precious Lord.’

As our nation finds itself in one of the most controversial times in American history, I can’t think of a more appropriate song to resound in our hearts.

Watch the Portland State University Chamber Choir’s powerful rendition in the video below:

Wasn’t that just beautiful? I couldn’t hold back the tears.

Precious Lord, take my hand

Lead me on, let me stand

I’m tired, I’m weak, I’m lone

Through the storm, through the night

Lead me on to the light

Take my hand precious Lord, lead me home

When my way grows drear precious Lord linger near

When my light is almost gone

Hear my cry, hear my call

Hold my hand lest I fall

Take my hand precious Lord, lead me home

No matter what season of life you find yourself in today, may this song remind you of truth and uplift your spirit. Please share if this ancient hymn’s powerful words encouraged your heart today.
