Carrie Underwood Posts A Shocking Confession On What She Thinks The Election Should Really Look Like

When I found out who Carrie Underwood was voting for president this year, I admired her even more.

For more than a decade, Carrie Underwood has been revolutionizing the entertainment industry as one of the few famous outspoken conservatives.

However, it appears Carrie doesn’t belong just onstage — she belongs in the Oval Office too.

The country superstar recently made a million jaws drop when she was running for president — with election day just weeks away.

But it’s what she confessed afterwards that shocked me even more…

Although Carrie was just kidding with her presidential campaign announcement, fans immediately responded with a restored hope in America — it appears we really DO want Carrie Underwood for president!

Here’s 6 Reasons Why Carrie Underwood Would Be The Best President Ever…

#1: Her exceptional work ethic…

“This is a world so big it can break your heart. It just seems like there are so many problems. What do you do? Where do you start? Well, there are opportunities every day, so many things around you where you can make a difference.” – Carrie Underwood

Carrie Underwood had put aside her singing dreams for a degree in Broadcast Journalism, but when she auditioned for American Idol during her senior year at Northeastern State University — her life changed forever.

“I’m very happy in my life, and I count my blessings every day,” she says. “When I decided to try out for American Idol, my life changed completely in the blink of an eye. I went down a different train track and took off at about a million miles per hour. I feel like I’m still learning. In the beginning, it was like, ‘Oh, I have a No. 1. That’s awesome!’ I didn’t really understand what that meant. ‘Jesus, Take The Wheel’ and ‘Before He Cheats’ were No. 1 for several weeks, and that doesn’t happen often, but I had no idea. I realize now what hard work it actually is, and I feel like I can appreciate those victories even more. Touring is more fun because I know what it’s like to headline a tour. I feel like I’m able to be more and more creative all the time. I always feel like I’m taking steps forward.”

After winning American Idol in 2005, Carrie went on to win multiple Grammy, Country Music Association and Academy of Country Music awards. In 2008, at age 26, she became the youngest member of the Grand Ole Opry, one of her most treasured milestones, after being invited by one of her biggest idols — Randy Travis.

“The induction award they gave me says, ‘Hey, you’re a part of the family,'” she says. “It means a lot to me because it’s the heart of country music, the church, the sacred place, the super-elite club that says you love this music.”

Carrie’s extraordinary accomplishments reveal leadership traits that America has been missing for far too long. It took exceptional work ethic to get where Carrie is — and that’s the kind of leader we’ve been wanting! Not someone who plays golf while turmoil is taking place both domestically and internationally, like Obama.

#2: Her humble beginnings…

“I had a very happy childhood full of the wonderful simple things that children love to do. Growing up in the country, I enjoyed things like playing on dirt roads, climbing trees, catching little woodland creatures and, of course, singing.” – Carrie Underwood

“She was never really a people person,” says Underwood’s retired teacher mother, Carole, who raised Carrie and her two older sisters in Checotah, Oklahoma (population 3,350) alongside husband Steve, a paper-mill operator. “She liked being outside with animals.”

“My mom had a job, and she also took care of us, and she also took care of Dad – I always saw her pulling triple duty, doing more than I ever felt like she needed to. I made a promise to myself that it would be more of a team effort in my family someday. And because of that, I became more independent,” Carrie explained.

Carrie still treasures her humble upbringing and says it has helped her keep her feet on the ground while her life and career have soared. She even established a foundation called C.A.T.S. – Checotah Animal, Town, and School Foundation to focus on charitable efforts on her hometown community.

“I felt like it was a really good time to start something that could do good for others,” she says, “because I’ve had so much good fortune just poured on me over the past five years that it’s definitely time to give back.”

#3: Her devotion to family…

“I love being around my friends and my family and spending time with my husband. I like being normal and recharging my batteries, and I feel like I have the coolest job in the world where I get to get on stage and perform and get to do a lot of really amazing things.” – Carrie Underwood

No matter how big that red carpet is — Carrie Underwood always puts family first. Carrie spends as much time as possible hanging out at home with her hubby and son Isaiah. She also still visits her extended family in Oklahoma when she can.

Plans for today: snuggle with this handsome guy. That is all. Pretty sure it's going to be a great day! #happymothersday

As if the rise in American divorce rates isn’t devastating enough, the negative impacts that divorce has on children of divorced parents is even more devastating. American families have been shattered by the rising divorce statistics — and the infinite magazine covers of failed celebrity marriages only perpetuates the divorce epidemic.

America needs a role model marriage — one that’s realistic and not a fairy tale, one that’s genuine love and not surface-level. Carrie Underwood and Mike Fisher’s marriage is the perfect role model for couples of all diversities.

Remember her 2009 single, “Mama Song?” It became an anthem for children and their mothers and still is one of our favorite songs celebrating mothers. Especially with the sweet words from Carrie’s own mama, Carole Underwood, who appeared in the video.

When I saw what Carrie did for her mom on Mother’s Day, I admired her even more. Below is Carrie’s precious Instagram post dedicated to her mom, Carole:

#4: Her ability to dominate hate with love…

Despite the persecution Carrie’s faced as one of the few famous Christians these days, the 33-year-old singer always handles her ‘haters’ with admirable grace — she’s even admitted to PRAYING for people that are mean to her. One of Carrie’s favorite Bible passages comes from 1 Peter 2:1-25.

“Therefore, rid yourselves of all malice and all deceit, hypocrisy, envy, and slander of every kind.” – 1 Peter 2:1

In addition to the strength and peace Carrie’s Christian faith provides her, the country superstar credits American Idol for helping her develop “thick skin.” If Carrie can survive Simon Cowell, she can certainly survive the haters’ fame has given her.

“I think more than anything the critiques were a learning process, because I’m criticized on a daily basis,” she explained. “It was kind of the beginning of learning what that was going to feel like and how to handle it and getting used it I guess — kind of creating a thick skin.”

Carrie’s ability to outshine hate with love is a leadership trait our entire world is in desperate need of. The fact that Carrie was willing to pray for her enemies rather than feed into their negativity illustrates the forgiveness Christians are taught to practice.

America would be a much better place with a president that doesn’t persecute anyone who’s not hypnotized by the secular agenda. Liberals have condemned Christians for far too long, yet they demand “rights” for groups solely for their own special interests. For example, Mayor de Blasio’s recent call to boycott Chick-fil-A for their Christian beliefs was only a distraction from his federal investigation for campaign fraud.

#5: Her faith in Jesus Christ…

“After I released ‘Jesus Take the Wheel,’ people started saying, ‘Oh, it’s kind of risky. You’re coming out with a religious song,’ and I was thinking, ‘Really?’ I grew up in Oklahoma, I always had a close relationship with God. I never thought it was risky in the least. If anything, I thought it was the safest thing I could do.” – Carrie Underwood.

When Carrie Underwood released “Jesus Take the Wheel” after winning American Idol, she challenged the secular agenda with a force they had yet to experience. The Country-Christian song became a crossover hit, winning Grammys for Best Female Country Vocal Performance and Best Country Song, and has sold 2.5 million copies in the U.S. alone as of today.

Carrie’s accomplishments as a music artist, and the blessings she’s received, vividly illustrate the reward that comes when we surrender ourselves to the Lord. However, the beautiful family she has today is the best reward God has blessed her with.

Carrie and her NHL star husband, Mike Fisher, are one of the few outspoken Christian couples in the spotlight these days. They’re known for praying together on a regular basis and they even read Pastor Rick Warren’s The Purpose Driven Life together when they first started dating.

“Having a personal relationship with Jesus Christ is what I believe truly defines a person and how we find eternal significance. Sometimes it’s very humbling to realize that we are here today and gone tomorrow. I find true comfort in God’s grace, knowing that I fall short in many ways, but He’s always there for me through the good times and bad – no matter what,” Mike said.

Carrie and Mike regularly have devotionals together and also read parts of the Bible together. They’ve also have expressed their desire to raise their 1-year-old son Isaiah with a Christian upbringing.

“We want to go to church, not just for lessons and learning, but also to have a community and be surrounded by people who are just trying to raise their kids up good,” Carrie concluded. “Keep everything as loving as possible, you know?”

The most important lesson from the Bible the new parents want Isaiah to learn? LOVE.

“Mike and I talk about teaching him how to approach everybody in a loving way, even if they’re not the same, and to try to say, ‘You know what? God loves them, so it should be my job to do my best to love them as well,’” Carrie said.

Carrie’s strong relationship with Jesus Christ has allowed her to learn and apply a lesson most Christians struggle with daily — not judging others.

“I am a Christian, and I do love the Lord, and I feel no matter who you are, what you believe, how you live your life, it’s not my place to judge. I don’t have that power. I don’t want that power. It’s my place to love and to show God’s love to other people, even if they don’t live a life like I live.”

Carrie’s ability to love like Jesus is a gift we ALL need. Her nonjudgmental behavior could draw in people of all diversities, and ultimately introduce millions to Jesus Christ — it’s a character trait we’ve been YEARNING for in a president for far too long.

Carrie doesn’t condemn others — she just shines the light of God by walking the walk AND talking the talk.

#6: Her incredible wisdom…

“Everybody has the power to do something, to be a contributing force and I would rather people look back on my life and say, ‘She made the world a better place.’ We can all do things like that, and I believe that when opportunities arise for you to do good, you should do good.” – Carrie Underwood

Carrie’s book smart AND street smart — but she’s also unbiased. Although Carrie is an outspoken conservative, she doesn’t abuse the celebrity platform God has blessed her with to endorse politicians — unlike every liberal celebrity does daily.

In an interview with TV Guide, the country star she refused to reveal her favorite presidential candidate. Carrie’s response was eloquent as always:

“There is someone I do support, but I don’t support publicly. I lose all respect for celebrities when they back a candidate,” Carrie said. “It’s saying that the American public isn’t smart enough to make their own decisions.”

“I think everybody needs to go check out what the candidates are all about and make an informed decision on their own. I would never want anybody to vote for anything or anybody just because I told them to. Music is where you go to get away from all the BS. Whether it’s from politics or just the world around you, music should be an escape,” Carrie explained.

That wasn’t the only time Carrie’s kept her political views private. At a 2011 Kennedy Center event in Washington, D.C., the blonde bombshell was asked if Obama had lived up to her expectations. She gracefully declined to answer:

“Now you’re getting into like politicky kind of stuff. I’m here for the service aspect and to honor great people and the service that they’ve done and I kind of stay out of the rest of it,” Carrie said.

In a recent interview with Rolling Stone Country, Carrie explained how she and Mike stay up-to-date with current events. Although she still refused to reveal who she’s voting for this year — she explained the thought process that goes into making that decision. Instead of telling people who to vote for, Carrie’s EDUCATING every one on HOW they should make that decision for themselves

“My husband and I try to keep up with what’s going on, and my mom and I solve the problems of the world on a daily basis in our phone conversations,” Carrie said.

“I try to take things that I’m passionate about and wanting people to get educated on and make up their own minds on things. More than anything, I want people to do their own homework. I don’t want people to vote for somebody because I told them to,” she explained.

Time after time, Carrie Underwood becomes an even better role model for people of all diversities.
