The “Mark of the Beast” is a subject very familiar to Christians. But how about the rest of the world? It appears the ‘unchurched’ are falling headlong into the predecessors of this Biblical prophecy.
For a brief review, the Mark of the Beast is part of a larger Biblical prophecy which details a one world government; led by a man who has seemingly brought peace to the entire planet. This peace, however, is fake. He will soon show his true hand and implement a system for commerce that everyone on planet earth must participate in, if they wish to be a part of society. A “mark” in their hand, or on their forehead will presumably be implanted in everyone who does not want to be banished from society.
Christians have worried about this for a long time now and have had ongoing discussions as to what this would look like. Up until the 80’s, no one could have conceived the mark would actually be a microchip when most common theories was that it would be some sort of tattoo.
BuzzFeed recently had an employee of theirs, Charlie Warzel, conduct an experiment where he tried to live without cash for an entire month. Through the course of this experiment he traveled to Sweden where there is a burgeoning community of bio-hackers: people who like to make cybernetic body modifications. For instance, many people are actually implanting RFID chips under their skin!
These chips can be used just like your different key fobs. They have the convenience of never forgetting their keys or ID cards ever again. Charlie jumped at the chance to get an implant. He wanted to see if he could actually use the implant to pay for things. What he found was pretty shocking.
Charlie is actually excited to be potentially be the first person in the world to pay for something with his hand.
“He required everyone — small and great, rich and poor, free and slave — to be given a mark on the right hand or on the forehead. And no one could buy or sell anything without that mark, which was either the name of the beast or the number representing his name.”
It’s funny how people who deny the veracity of Christian scripture fail to see how they’re actually a part of fulfilling these prophecies.
How could an ancient book written 2,000 years ago predict a future society where there was only one way to purchase anything, unless it was divinely inspired?
It’s easy to have a knee-jerk reaction and say things like, “BuzzFeed is part of the New World Order.” Even Charlie himself joked around with joining the Illuminati after receiving all the comments that he has.
Here are a couple of reactions to his video from Facebook:
It’s important to realize too that what he’s received in his hand is NOT the Mark of the Beast. No one forced him to get this, and there is no ‘One World Leader’ (yet) saying that this is the only way you can function in society.
He was even asked directly if he did this experiment because he knew the controversy it would cause,
Is this video being used to familiarize people en masse with the concept of implantable chips? How else is it supposed to be perceived?
If you are a believer, you have the authority to stand against this sort of thing. Share this article to help raise people’s awareness of the matter, too many people otherwise just won’t care and will just go with the flow. After all Matthew 24:24 tells us,
“For false messiahs and false prophets will rise up and perform great signs and wonders so as to deceive, if possible, even God’s chosen ones.”
We warn you about these things, not because we’re scared of the power of the devil. We’ve read the last page of the Book. We win. We’re telling you about these things because we’re confident in the power of prayer and our Father. Even the smallest bit of light drives out an army of darkness.
