This Cop Got Called Into The Principal’s Office, What He Saw When He Walked In Brought Tears To His Eyes

When this police officer was called into the Principal’s office, he wasn’t sure of what to expect. But seconds later, he broke down in tears. When I learned the reason why, I couldn’t stop crying either. This is beautiful.

Mitch Brouillette is a proud husband, devoted father, and selfless police officer. Over the years, Officer Brouillette — simply known as “Mitch” on campus — has made an impact in the lives of countless students.

After years of loyal service to the staff and students at Heritage High School in Brentwood, California, the students decided to honor their beloved campus police officer in a unique way.

“Mitch is a very positive person,” said Heritage sophomore Julia Schroer. “He always brings a smile to my face whenever I talk to him.”

Wanting it to be a complete surprise, the students crafted a plan: Brouillette was summoned to the Principal’s office with bad news –  he was asked to watch a video of students at a party who were “caught smoking and doing drugs.”

“I had a knot in my stomach,” said Brouillette.

When the dreaded video finally began to play, Brouillette immediately sensed that the students were up to something. As dozens of students thanked him for his service, Brouillette was overwhelmed with their kind gesture of gratitude.

One student shared, “Thanks for being a good cop, and a better person in general.” Another added, “I just really want to thank him for making me the best man I’ve ever been.”

“I’m not the most emotional person, but that video brought tears to my eyes,” said Brouillette.

Officer Brouillette was overwhelmed by their words of gratitude, but the students weren’t done thanking him just yet. After watching the video, he was directed outside to find yet another surprise — and you just have to see it for yourself!

Watch the amazing moment this hardworking cop finally receives the recognition he so deserves. I promise, you don’t want to miss it:

When asked why he’s a cop, Brouillette simply replied, “I believe there’s good in everybody. I try to just get them to see it. These kids are unbelievable.”

Thank you, Officer Brouillette, for your sacrifice, loyal service, and constant dedication to these students. Your impact on their lives is just a beautiful sight to behold! Thank God for America’s hardworking and selfless police officers, our country would be lost without them! Please share if you agree!

Policeman’s Prayer
When I start my tour of duty God,
Wherever crime may be,
as I walk the darkened streets alone,
Let me be close to Thee.

Please give me understanding with both the young and old.
Let me listen with attention until their story’s told.
Let me never make a judgment in a rash or callous way,
but let me hold my patience, let each man have his say.

Lord if some dark and dreary night,
I must give my life,
Lord, with Your everlasting love
protect my children and my wife.
