It all started as a normal trip to the grocery store, until an attempted robbery left one woman fearing for her life. Thankfully, one fearless cowboy’s act of bravery changed everything– and how he brought justice is sure to make your day!
A cowboy by the name of Robert Borba was riding horseback to his local Walmart in Eagle Point, Oregon. But his “normal trip” suddenly took a drastic turn when he heard a woman’s blood-curling screams.
A thief had shamelessly stolen the lady’s bike and was making a run for it.
“’Stop him! Stop him! He stole my bike! He stole my bike!’ And I kind of look around and all of a sudden this guy goes whizzing by me on a bicycle,” Robert said.
What the thief failed to realize was that Robert Borba just so happens to be a champion bull rider. Without a second thought, Borba took off on his horse in hot pursuit of the suspect.
Borba’s quick thinking led him to use the only weapon he had: a rope. The 28-year-old cowboy was able to get his lasso around the suspect’s ankle and hold the man until police officers arrived.
“A couple swings and then I threw it at him, just like I would a steer,” Borba said.
“He’s like, ‘What are you doing, man? You got a badge?’ And I’m like, ‘No, I ain’t got a badge,’” Borba recalled.
He then called 911 and explained the situation to the operator. “We got a guy who just stole a bike here at Walmart. I got him roped and tied to a tree,” he said on the call.
“What!?” the operator said.
“I got him roped from a horse and he’s tied to a tree.” The fearless cowboy explained.
When police officer Adams arrived, he couldn’t believe what he saw.
“I looked up and from the horse there was a rope connected to the ankle of a gentleman on the ground holding onto a tree,” Adams said.
I’ve seen countless “instant justice” videos. But this has got to be the most incredible story I’ve ever heard! Watch this cowboy’s heroic act of bravery in the video below:
This modest cowboy wants absolutely nothing in return. In fact, he explains that what he did was simply the right thing to do. “If it was my wife or my little girl, I would hope somebody would help her if I wasn’t around,” he said.
It’s not every day that a thief comes face to face with a real life cowboy. America needs more brave men like Robert Borba who are willing to step up and protect their fellow citizens!
