When A Fan Started Having A Seizure, Tim Tebow’s Response Left Me Speechless

When someone falls ill or in distress, many people’s response is to simply look away and ignore it. For others, they might say a quick prayer, but not really take a moment to stop for the one. But some, those who really know the authority they have been given by God, stop and take action to bring the Kingdom of Heaven to earth.

Tim Tebow, NFL pro turned professional baseball player, just did something that blew me away.

Jesus said it and believers for generations have been agreeing and living it out: “And these signs will accompany those who believe: In my name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new tongues; they will pick up snakes with their hands; and when they drink deadly poison, it will not hurt them at all; they will place their hands on sick people, and they will get well.” (Mark 16:17-18)

When Tebow saw a fan having a seizure on the sidelines while he signed autographs, he didn’t sit by idly. Instead, he jumped into the heat of the action and responded in a way that I truly think Jesus would have.

He laid hands on the man, prayed a prayer, took authority. And suddenly, something changed. According to ABC15 reporter Kari Van Horn, the seizure stopped after Tebow placed his hands on the fan and prayed.

Instead of seizing, the man’s body began breathing again. The Bible says that the prayer of the righteous man avails much, and I believe that the prayer Tebow prayed to the Father in the name of Jesus carried the authority of the Holy Spirit and brought healing.

What would it look like if ordinary men and women like you and I walked in that authority from Heaven on a daily basis? What kind of world would we see if we chose to live like Jesus — and Tim Tebow — did. I have a feeling that the world that we see today would look vastly different.
