Here’s The Truth About President Trump’s 2005 Tax Returns The Media Chooses To Ignore

Ever since he announced he would be running for president, the media has been calling for copies of Donald Trump’s tax returns, and now their prayers have been answered.

For months Democrats have been spreading the lie that President Trump hasn’t been paying taxes, but a 2005 copy of his returns, obtained by MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow, show that is incredibly false.

After claiming to be in possession of “the only set of the president’s federal taxes that reporters have ever gotten a hold of,” Maddow revealed the shocking truth behind Trump’s returns: he pays his taxes.

Much to the displeasure of liberals everywhere, the tax returns showed that the president had been paying federal taxes, to the tune of nearly $38 million for 2005 alone. How many members of government have paid $38 million in taxes in their lifetimes? Donald Trump did it in one year!

Wait, Didn’t Hillary Say Trump Didn’t Pay Taxes?
During a 2016 debate, Hillary Clinton said Donald Trump “doesn’t want the American people, all of you watching tonight, to know that he’s paid nothing in federal taxes.” However, this leaked tax return shows that is definitely not the case.

What Did We Learn?
In 2005 Donald Trump claimed over $150 million in earnings, which means he was taxed at a rate of around 25%. For comparison’s sake, Barack Obama in 2015 had a tax rate of 18.7%. Senator Bernie Sanders, a major critic of the president, had a rate of 13.5% in 2014. If people were upset with Trump for not paying his “fair share,” then they should be furious with a lot of members of our government.

So, we learned that Donald Trump paid taxes, just like every other American. We also learned that democrats don’t really care about the facts, as they may claim. Here is definitive proof of our president paying his taxes, and the left barely acknowledge it. Why is that?

From claims of not paying taxes, to publishing unsubstantiated dossiers, it’s apparent the establishment is stopping at nothing to demonize Donald Trump. While they report on unreleased tax returns, or supposed ties with Russia, the president is busy getting the country back to work. Sadly, some folks would rather read “fake news” than what’s really going on.
