HGTV ‘Fixer Upper’ Stars Chip and Joanna Gaines Finally Release Name of Their Brand-New Restaurant

It’s no secret that we love HGTV’s “Fixer Upper” couple, Chip and Joanna Gaines. And now, just a few months after announcing the newest member of the Magnolia family, the Gaines are finally releasing the name of their beautiful new addition. This is so exciting!

Chip and Joanna Gaines have renovated hundreds of homes across Texas and are widely renowned for their unashamed faith in Christ, love for their family, and generosity.

Hand-in-hand, the dynamic duo has built an empire from the ground up — all the while giving glory to God. The flawless couple recently shared that their primary goal in life is to keep Christ first and foremost in their lives.

The Gaines told CBS Sunday Morning: “Our family has made a commitment to put Christ first, a lifestyle our parents modeled for us very well. They showed us how to keep our marriage and family centered around God. As for ‘Fixer Upper,’ we have been surprised at the impact of our faith through the show. We haven’t been overtly evangelical, but the rich feedback we have received on family and love all source from our faith. Jesus said the world would know His disciples by their love for one another, and we’ve glimpsed this in practice and strive for it every day.”

With God on their side, it seems as though everything Chip and Joanna Gaines put their hands to turns into gold. So you can only imagine our pure glee when the Gaines announced that they would soon be opening a new business — a charming little restaurant!

You can officially add “restaurant owners” to the Gaines’ long list of accolades. The pair’s journey to becoming café owners began last year, after their favorite little restaurant in Waco shut down. Not long after, Chip and Joanna agreed to purchase the local landmark known as Elite Café and reinvent it.

Joanna wrote on her blog: “Opening a breakfast joint has always been something that Chip’s been interested in – and it’s been so fun to watch how excited he has been about the entire process… It [the Elite Café] had been a Waco icon for nearly 100 years, and we couldn’t let a place with such a rich history be forgotten. Our family has so many great memories from Sunday brunches at the Elite, and judging by the walls on the inside of the building (which were lined with framed photos representing the restaurant’s past) I’m convinced that this place holds at least one memory for nearly everyone in Waco, Texas. We want everyone, whether you’re part of the building’s past or not, to walk in and instantly feel the rich history of it.”

When the Elite Café first opened in 1919, it was the only restaurant in Waco to use refrigeration. Formerly known for its yeast rolls and eggs Benedict, it was a popular pit stop for travelers along I-35, and even served Elvis Presley a time or two. After 97 years in business, the Elite Café closed in February 2016.

Joanna recently revealed the restaurant’s charming name and that they hope to reopen by the end of the year.

Joanna wrote on her blog: “People always say the restaurant business is a beast — and we believe that, we aren’t naive to the fact that this is all new to us — but we are genuinely thrilled that we get the opportunity to restore a Waco treasure into something new. Chip is rocking and rolling on the construction side of things. Of course there have been a few setbacks along the way (as there are with every construction project), but we’re on the home stretch! We are setting our sights on opening at the end of this year. Fingers crossed, everyone!”

Joanna continued: “Now for my favorite part of the whole project — the name! We want the name of our restaurant to convey the idea that all are welcome here. Our hope is that when you step into this place, you know that everyone has a seat at our table. With that said, the name of our restaurant will be: Magnolia Table.

We can’t wait to see what the Gaines do with the charming little restaurant, and the menu sounds incredible!

Joanna excitedly revealed: “And now for the menu…. this has been Chip’s favorite part. Ok, who am I kidding, it’s probably been mine too. Magnolia Table will be serving breakfast, brunch & lunch, so in addition to Chip’s favorite breakfast items, you will also find his famous ham sandwich on the menu. A couple of the crowd favorites here at the office are the Farm eggs Benedict, the Gaines Brothers Burger, and of course our homemade pies!”

Congratulations to America’s favorite dynamic duo! We can’t wait to visit their new restaurant!

It’s no wonder why Chip and Joanna Gaines have inspired countless hearts across the country. Their lives are a testimony to God’s powerful love and unmistakable goodness. Thank you both for reminding America what is truly admirable! And thank you, HGTV, for promoting such a wholesome TV show! The world needs more couples like Chip and Joanna Gaines. Please share if you agree!
