Nervous 16-Year-Old Steps On Stage To Sing, What Simon Does Next? UNBELIEVABLE!

The video of Christian Guardino’s breathtaking audition has already gone viral, but it’s what happened off-camera that’s shocking the world even more. There’s no doubt God is using this formerly blind singer in extraordinary ways!

It’s been 15 years since American Idol debuted, giving Americans their first experience with entertaining auditions. Since then, we’ve encountered infinite captivating performances while watching various reality talent shows that made us laugh, cry and even cringe.

However, Christian Guardino’s audition for America’s Got Talent gave every viewer an experience that’s truly indescribable — a feeling that hasn’t been felt since we watched Grace VanderWaal’s audition last year before she went on to win America’s Got Talent.

What was that mysterious feeling we desperately hope for as we watch every audition? It’s that moment when a star is born — leaving you hypnotized and grateful to experience such a blessing.

Christian Guardino was nervous when he first stepped onto the audition stage for America’s Got Talent, but it didn’t take the audience long to realize the humble 16-year-old was blessed with the gift of singing.

“I have a good feeling about you,” judge Simon Cowell told Christian before he even began singing.

Christian Guardino mesmerized America’s Got Talent viewers across the country with his flawless rendition of the Jackson 5’s “Who’s Lovin’ You.” Cowell was so dazzled by Christian’s performance that his jaw dropped within the first few notes of the song — and that’s especially impressive considering how notorious Simon is for his harsh criticism.

The talented teen received a standing ovation from all four judges and the audience. Howie Mandel was so impressed by Christian’s performance that he decided to send him through to the show’s live performance round by hitting the Golden Buzzer.

Each of the four judges can only hit the coveted button once, and Howie went for it. Last year’s winner, Grace VanderWaal, received the Golden Buzzer from Howie too!

“I wanted to cry,” Christian revealed. “I was really nervous before I got on stage. I was just thinking, I can’t mess up. I can’t mess up. I can’t mess up. But when I saw everything that was going on with the judges, all my nerves turned into strong energy and excitement. I started going off on the song and getting comfortable.”

However, the most heartwarming part about Christian’s AGT experience is his appreciation for the ability to watch all the action go down. He was totally blind until a revolutionary treatment helped him regain most of his sight when he was 12.

“I would have never been able to see it before,” said Christian.

Music became Christian’s outlet while struggling with his vision impairment as a child. The humble teen realizes his condition wound up amplifying his musical talent, too.

“Music was always my escape. When I was dealing with my condition, it was a way to forget everything that was happening,” he said. “My hearing was strengthened because of my eyesight. I hear music in a strong way. It’s always been there for me.”

While learning the details of Christian’s journey to the stage and watching his flawless performance, I was reminded of Matthew 23:13 and Proverbs 19:21. Instead of being bound by bitterness, Christian is turning tragedy into triumph. The young man never let his vision impairment hold him back.

“Whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and whoever humbles himself will be exalted.” — Matthew 23:13

“Many are the plans in a person’s heart, but it is the LORD’s purpose that prevails.” — Proverbs 19:21

Christian’s legendary talent is one of the most beautiful gifts I’ve ever seen God bless anyone with — and I’m so thankful he’s brave enough to share it with the world at such a young age! Please keep Christian in your prayers as he continues competing. There’s no doubt he’s a star on the rise!
