There are days that you just need a little pick-me-up in your soul, ya know?
The Bible says in 1 Samuel 30 that David “strengthened himself in the Lord.” That strengthening come from waiting on the Lord (Isaiah 40:31), but it can also come by feeding yourself the right things.
When I heard this “Morning Inspiration” message from Steve Harvey, I knew it was a word for you and me. Here are a few of the amazing encouragements from Steve:
“A lot of times you having problems that you don’t have any control over… or sometimes you got some problems that just require some working out. But if the devil got you so focused on the problem you don’t look at the outcome. And the outcome that you’re looking for is the hopefulness, the faith part that allows you to go ahead and settle down and deal with everything—knowing that God’s gonna make it alright. Knowing that, you will get through this. Knowing that, this too shall pass. Trouble don’t last always.”
“Peace of mind comes from having faith.
Faith is believing in something even when you don’t know all the answers.
It’s some things I’m going through right now, I don’t really know how I’m going to get through them. But I do know that God will get me through them. I do know that He will give me whatever necessary to either come out of it, through it, around it or just deal with it better. I know that for a fact, so that allows me to have peace.”
I spent a lot years looking for comfort in a lot of other places. Peace of mind comes from having faith. Faith is believing in something even when you don’t have all the answers. It’s some things I’m going through right now. I don’t know how I’m going to get through them. But I do know that God will get me through them. Trouble don’t last always. I know that for a fact.
